A surprisingly interesting, and sometimes challenging, variety of exhibits throughout the year. There are often interactive children's activities available, that the grown-ups usually enjoy too. The extensive permanent collection contains some unexpected gems.A delicious lunch in the cafe, with views of the lake, is a nice complement to any gallery visit, and a stroll through the adjacent gardens is always enjoyable. There's a very good playground in the precinct as well, so all family members are catered for, making a fun outing for everyone.
Gallery was very nice, quite a few Sidney Nolan works and a variety of other interesting works. I thought it was just the right mix of different art types for the size of the place and would definitely recommend a stop on the way through Benalla
Wonderful art gallery comprising three separate spaces. Current featured artist is Ivan Durrant who was a long time Benalla resident. Excellent show which still has a couple of months to run. Not to be missed.
An unexpected bonus on an impromptu side trip. Great exhibition of Nolan works. Nice location with great little cafe. Take time to also absorb the Weary Dunlop statue on the main road out front.
Lovely little gallery situated on the Botanical garden grounds. We ordered the flat head and corn fritter dishes and were very impressed by the quality of the food and the presentation. Would definitely come back here for a delicious feed!
